I am truly passionate about the natural world and I love to share stories in images. I completed a degree in Natural Science at the Open University in 2016, followed by an MSc in Biological Photography and Imaging in 2017 at the University of Nottingham. I have combined my love of science with my imaging skills to create a portfolio of images that showcase the outstanding beauty of this beautiful planet we call home.

I live in East Yorkshire where I enjoy photographing the local wildlife and landscapes. Other photographic interests include microscopy, astrophotography and travel. You can find a collection of all of my images in my gallery. Many of my prints are available to purchase from Art and Soul in Beverley (https://artandsoulhub.co.uk/collections/leanne-hunter).

I am a big fan of traditional photography techniques and I aim to capture the perfect composition in camera. Editing is usually limited to correcting colour and tidying up images. I prefer for an image to remain as true to original as possible and will quite often spend hours observing my photographic subjects in order to get 'the shot'. I will be sharing my creative processes and imaging stories with you via my gallery and my blog.

A Nikon D7200 is my trusty camera and I am constantly pushing it to the limits. I genuinely believe that having a good skill base is far more important than having the most expensive camera equipment. I am constantly expanding my skills and I hope to share some tips with you so that you can get the best out of your equipment too.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I hope you enjoy viewing my images and reading my blog.
